Serious students of the Lefever Arms Co. know that finding an example of an engraver signed gun is nearly impossible. We are pleased to present this fine C Grade Lefever 12 bore gun that is signed by “Spangler” on the left lockplate. The gun is nicely engraved in early C Grade pattern with dogs on sides and bursts of scroll on bottom and on trigger guard. The gun was made with capped pistol grip, double triggers, extractors, auto safety, and splinter forend with early push button release which is nicely engraved. The pivot top opener is also nicely engraved. Fences are nicely sculpted. The 30″ damascus barrels have a rich damascus pattern which has been professionally restored and the gun has a unique top rib which is matted in only one direction. The gun has 2-5/8″ chambers and has the original Lefever Arms Co. Monogrammed buttplate.

Overall, the gun is in nice condition. As mentioned above, the barrels have been restored and show bright pattern. Bores with some minor roughness but nothing serious in terms of pitting. The action retains about 25%inal case color, mostly toned. Stocks have been expertly restored and are starting to show some subsquent age.
